Finding Your Niche - Question 7 (last one!)

Snowmageddon is here.

I don't know what you all think, but this #snowmageddon2016 is crazy!  Everything around us is cancelled for tomorrow already and we're just trying to stay on top of snow removal before we're buried alive.  After waiting for the snow since late October and seeing nothing... this just about makes up for the rest of the year as far as I'm concerned.  Stay warm!

Today is the last day of "Finding Your Niche".

I won't be blogging daily in the future, but this was something to kick-start myself into a more routine pattern of blogging, and to help me figure out what I'm going to be blogging about.  In fact, I was talking to my mom this morning and she reminded me of a very similar process I went through a few months ago by reading through Restless (affiliate link) by Jennie Allen.  If you haven't read it, I highly encourage you to begin the process of looking for and identifying the "threads" of your life that God has put together to create the unique YOU that is alive today!

Today's question is a thought-provoking one for me.  It's been a while since I've had one of these that lasted for more than a short season... albeit a wonderful season!

If you could design the perfect friend, what would they be like? What would you do together?
  1. Willing to listen AND give thoughtful advice
  2. Non-judgmental and supportive of my personal decisions
  3. Willing to "go deep fast".  I'm all about a cup of coffee and heart-level sharing, the first time we get together.
  4. Unintimidated by my experiences and personality.  Does that sound prideful?  It's not meant to be.  When someone hears that I've been a missionary there's this instant "wow-factor" that happens in many cases.  Sigh.  I'm normal people.  In fact, YOU'RE probably more godly than I am.
  5. Loves to have fun, but isn't about the "extras".  I don't do "fluff".  If you know me, that might make more sense.  If you don't, and you're willing to take me up on #3 above, you'll understand better!
  6. We'd do life together.  For real.  I don't have hobbies, I don't have extra cash to go out, my life is fairly complicated.  I want someone who jumps in with me and invites me to walk alongside with her as well.  We call at the drop of a hat, we text furiously around school drop-offs and daily work, we know each other inside and out.
How about you?  Drop me a comment below and let me know what YOUR perfect friend looks like?
